Akshay Srivastava (हिंदी: अक्षय श्रीवास्तव), also known as Satyarth Srivastava (सत्यार्थ श्रीवास्तव), is an artist and author born on 03rd October, 1995 in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh, India to Shri. Keshav Prasad Srivastava and Smt. Veena Srivastava.
According to Akshay Srivastava, he started his writing career naturally by self-realising the hidden beauty of the heart, sensitivity of the relationships and the feelings that are confined within our consciousness. Akshay affirms Srimadbhagwat Mahapuran by Bhagwan Srila Vedvyas and the Canto 10 (Dasham Skandh) of Srimadbhagwat as his main source of inspiration and writing. Akshay confirms his writing skills originate from Sanskrit. He came close to Sanskrit through the study of Srimadbhagwat Gita which gave him an exceptional sense of feelings and emotions of an individual’s mind. According to Akshay Srivastava, his books and literatures could never been into existence without Gitapress, started by Srila Jayadayal Goyendka and Srila Hanuman Prasad Poddar. Akshay also gained a great sense of writing from the great nobles including Srila Ramsukhdas, Srimati Meerabai, Srimati Lalitkishori, Srila Tulsidas, Srila Surdas and many countless others. Being attached to Vaishnava culture, majority of Akshay’s writings are dedicated to Bhagwan Shri Krishna.
Akshay explains his writing objective: “I want to broadcast the truth and love that are already known to a person since that person is born but it remains hidden due to the selfishness that he develops in him after imitating those other selfish people that he sees or either because of by trying to satisfy his own pleasures without thinking of other person’s problem. Words have great power. Feelings have greater. Feelings that are chronic or recurring have the capability to set an individual’s state of mind, that further becomes an establishment on one’s overall character. In short: what you see is what you learn and what you learn is what you do. Therefore, I intend my audience to see something good and kind so they can make this world a better place.”
Akshay Srivastava is famous for writing Shayaris (Poems) with the mixture of Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu. He has also received some great appreciations for his work from Shri. Yogesh Praveen, specialist and expert of Awadh’s history and the renowned author of many best-selling books. Akshay’s style of writing Shayaris is something exceptional and rhythmic. Akshay holds a great accent of the Lucknow’s Urdu and the Maha-Bharat’s Sanskrit. His poems often over-dominate his books because of their less time-consuming reading and at the same time due to the extra-ordinary heart touching rhythmic styling.
